Cupidrill Identification System

Setting Coolant
• Keep the T.I.R(Total Indicator reading) within 0.02mm when setting • Keep the declination between Drill center and work piece center within 0.02mm
(ex) when a work piece is rotating
• Water soluble coolant is recommendable and mixture ratio is 1:5~1:10
• Recommendable output pressure of coolant is 3~5k/§¨ and output amount is 2~5§¤/min.

Machine
Use machine with high rigidity and sufficient power, and CUOD, CUOL, CUTD and CUTL should be used in a machine with internal coolant supply system.

Stability
For longer tool life and finer finishing of hole, check spindle & clamping.
Chipping and breakage of Drill might be caused by unstable clamping.

Tool life
Tool should be changed when wearing of cutting edge exceeds 0.2~0.3mm

Trouble shooting
Trouble Cause Solution

Chipping on chsel
Bad clamping Check clamping and chuck
Improper cutting condition Reduce feed
Deflection of tool Check clamping or change chuck
Unsteady work piece Check fixture of work piece

QUICK abrasion of cutting edge
Bad clamping Check clamping and chuck
Improper cutting condition increase cutting speed
Insufficient coolant Check coolant, increase coolant pressure,
Check coolant nozzle or increase coolant

Quick abrasion of cutting edge on out Dia
Insufficient coolant Check coolant, Increase coolant pressure,
Check coolant nozzle or increase coolant
Improper cutting condition Reduce cutting speed and increase feed
Bad clamping Check clamping and chuck
